Preference will be given to pre-law advisors who (1) are NAPLA members; (2) who have less than five years experience in pre-law advising; and (3) who have not attended an "APLA" or PLANC conference in the past two years.  As of March 1, 2012, application forms will be available from the NAPLA website (napla.org). WAPLA is able to offer these grants through the generous support of the many law schools who register for and attend our WAPLA law fairs each year.  WAPLA is providing grants of up to $1500 each as funds are available (with a limit of two grants per institution).   If an advisor also receives a conference scholarship from PLANC, the amount of the WAPLA award will be reduced by the amount of the PLANC award.    Grants are awarded to qualified individuals on a first–come/ first–served basis.  To request a WAPLA Grant, please email our Treasurer, Tim Garrison, at timgarrison@pdx.edu.  Awards will be in the form of a reimbursement after the conference with receipts for all claimed expenses required.
